EResults Pro

EResults Pro is easy but comprehensive timing software for orienteering competitions.

Software development is based on newest techniques and is built on easy to use graphical user interfaces. With EResults Pro you'll enter competitors easily, raffle start lists smoothly, print start lists, results etc. with couple of mouse clicks. You can even plan start times so that competitors starting the same time don't run the same course or have the same first controlpoint. EResults Pro can be distributed to several computers so that computers communicate with each other via TCP/IP protocol.

EResults Pro consists of two separate applications:

  • Competition Management application 
    • Used for managing competition information (classes, courses, competitor, etc...) before and after the competition
    • Used also for start time "raffle", printing start and other lists, etc.
    • During the competition, acts as a competition server for Race Clients which connect via TCP/IP (Ethernet, WLAN)
      • Competition Management and Race Client can also be run on same computer, so using just one computer is also possible
  • Race Client application
    • Race Client is used during the competition to 
      • Read cards in finish line
      • Fix and analyze competitor's results
      • Print results (manually or automatically) as competitors arrive to finish
      • Show live competition data for the Competition Announcer
    • Race Client can be customized for all these different purposes
      • This makes Race Client very easy to use, because when you start Race client, you can select what is the purpose of which computer
      • E.g. Announcer is not interested of finish line card reading functionality and vice versa.
      • But it is also possible to select multiple use cases to one computer. E.g. Fix tab + Results tab
    • Race Client is built so that it can survive possible temporary network disconnections

Properties:

  • Support for both Emit and SPORTident systems.
  • Support for online finish line and split times reading (Available for Emit systems only at the moment, SPORTident support coming later)
  • At the moment only one day races are supported (multiday and relay are coming later)
  • Available in five different languages: Finnish, Swedish, Danish, French and English.
  • Support for Danish Club Match Point calculations

Requirements:

  • A regular PC with Windows2000 or newer and .NET framework.
  • Works possibly later also in Mono framework f.eg. in Linux.

Feature Highlights:

Announcer can easily follow what is going on in the competition.

New results from finish and split points are shown immediately.

Announcer can easily follow a specific competitor, browse start lists, watch results from classes etc.

With Slideshow functionality spectator's can easily follow results

from different classes and see fast the result of those who finish.

Competitor's can get a paper report immediately when they finish.

The paper report can be printed to competitors by the organizer,

or organizer's can setup a special computer, where competitors can

go and print the report themselves by placing their Emit or SPORTident

card into a card reader.

With start time planning functionality, it is easy to plan classes to

start so that there aren't competitors running the same course

starting at the same time.

When first start times for classes have been planned, starting order

for competitors can be "raffled" easily. You can even modify

the raffled result if you don't want competitors from same clubs

running one after the other.
